The Sentinels, the heroes of Khazan. Though their fight aginst the likes of the Marauders, The Fallen and the other various villains seems endless, they still fight on, for law, for order and for justice. They seek not power nor domination, but simply peace through out Khazan. If you ever get into trouble, you can be sure that the Sentinels aren't faraway!

History of the Sentinels

The Beginning of Justice:
One of the first teams founded, a bunch of heroes got together and decided to fight the good fight. With their powers came responsibilities and it was their responsibility to use those powers to benefit those who could not defend themselves from the massive villain population. By banding together they were extremely successful. Their founding member, Frostbite, had amazing powers over cold and ice and his charisma and charm soon attracted many heroes to his crusade. After many fund raisers and charity auctions, the Sentiels got enough money to hire contractors and build their massive fortress. The Sentinels HQ is a massively tall skyscraper with a heli-pad on the roof. The Sentinels were the very first superhero team in Khazan and were the spitting image of goodness. They would make boyscouts look like death-row inmates in comparison. The Sentinels represent the stereo typical image of the superhero and have sometimes been criticized by not being progressive enough in their methods. Still, they fight evil wherever it may turn up, save the world twice a day and even manage to make the time to get some poor kitty out of a tree.

The New Leader:
Since Frostbite left, there had been no leader of the Sentinels for some time even though Landon Morisato and then Joe BIGG GUNNS had acted in that capaicty, neither were ever offically the leader. So it was decided that once and for all, someone would be chosen. The call went out asking for someone to step forward and for awhile it seemed as though no one would. But then Uberman, Captain Khazan, GrayMalkin and Supercomrade stepped forward, and it was between them that the leadership was contended. The Sentinels voted and Uberman was declared the leader. The others, along with Elwin D'Larthi and Joe BIGG GUNNS, became the advisory council.

Support: 
The Sentiels, for all its expensive defense systems and recreation centers is funded entirely by donations and charity. They also have several youth centers in Khazan’s inner city to give children an alternative to gangs. It is by far the most successful team in Khazan. In recent times, the Sentinels have been funded by none other than KOMBG, who provides not only all the central HQ's defenses but also pays for travel expenses and property damage. KOMBG, working with the Sentinels, has also opened up several battered womens' shelters and soup kitchens, as well as several super-villain rehabilitation support groups.

Organization:
Uberman and the council run the Sentinels, monitoring the city and keeping the group informed of when something has happened that requires their presence. They also plan the major offensives against the Marauders and the Fallen, making sure that both are kept in check and not allowed free reign in the city. In the old says, the Sentinels were kept informed by e-mail and phone calls from citizens and the KPD, however the Sentinels members themselves now scout the city and remain in constant contact with the Uberman and the advisory council by communicators, making sure that as soon as something happens the council are informed.

Membership:
Joining the Sentinels is easy: All you have to do is approach the HQ and let them know you wish to join. After signing a registration form and answering a  few questions, you are then the newestmember of the oldest superhero team. A strict behavioral guideline is enforced: All members are expected to act with honor at all times, and to never display selfishness. This means that innocents have priority over villains, you do not intentionally kill a villain, always trying to reason first. Breaches in this conduct will lead to first a hearing with Uberman and the council and if they deem it necessary, those who breached the code will ejected from the Sentinels and be refered to the Reavers.

Opinions:
The Syndicate: We underestimated them once and now they are our most bitter rivals. We shall fight them to the end and back until the are stamped out from Khazan forever.

The Fallen: Never mind the Marauders, these guys are worse. The worst of any villain they are not only unfriendly but dangerous. While we hate the Marauders, we fear the Fallen and rightly so. They are our total opposites and from our few clashes we can tell they are a true threat. We shall be on our guard.

Reavers: We acknowledge the fact they are heroes only grudgingly. They are against everything we stand for and they accuse us of not doing enough. Well, there is such thing as doing too much and the MH certainly do just that. We admire their conviction but frown upon their methods.

The LOTMU: Unpredictable and this makes them dangerous. So far they have not really done anything to ruffle our feathers but the moment they do we shall be upon them like a ton of bricks. Count on it.

The Society of Shadows: We really don't know too much about this group, who have appeared only recently. Their number are small, but their motives remain unclear. Are they on the side of justice? Or evil? We really don't know, so we'll have to keep our eye on them.

Clan Iga: This clan of ninja seems to have appeared recently, though sources suggets they have actually been in Khazan for many years. So far they have focussed their efforts upon Lowtown and the Manical Heroes, though this alone is no reason we should be unconcerned.Should they manage to overtake LowTown, the threat of these ninjas could rival that of The Fallen.

The Leader of the Sentinels:

Uberman was a simple jewish family man, who lived on Earth during World War 2. Seeking to end the horrible war for his people, he began to scavenge parts, which he hoped to use to build an armor to help him. But he was caught and shot. Luckily found by his son, the two worked together to complete Uberman's mighty U.M.A. However, upon leaving his home, Uberman's family was destroyed! But he battled on, and eventually toppled the nazi regieme. Kept alive by his armor, Uberman battled against evil for many years, until he one day came to Khazan. Not long after, he was voted leader, and he has leader the Sentiels wisely and well ever since.


The Sentinels Advisory Council:

Earl Gray, otherwise known a Graymalkin, was very early on in his lifebitten by a vampire and he became one himself. Except that unlike most vampires, he was actually good! Problem was, nobody believed him. That is, until he came across the Sentinels. There he was accepted, and even flourished, taking very well to helping the heroes of the Sentinels. In fact he had become a hero himself! But there was one thing about GrayMalkin that set him apart from many ofthe other heroes of Khazan. For unlike them,  he actually cared about the lives he saved.

Dimitri Romanov had thought he was joining the Russian army, however instead he and his platoon of new recruits had actually been kidnapped by a rogue general, who used brutal training to ensure the weak were killed, before using the three survivors (Dimitri and the two others) to test a new form of nuclear energy. However, instead of dying, Dimtri found himself imbued with new powers. Quickly, the rogue general moved into to try and capture him, but thanks to his new powers, Dimitri was able to escape to Moscow. There, he decided to use his new powers to fight crime, taking on the name of the rogue general had used to taunt him as he escaped...Supercomrade. CUrrently, just how Supercomrade came to Khazan from his hoem dimension is unknown, but he continues his never-ending crusade against crime in Khazan with the Sentinels.

Trent Young was born and lived in Khazan. He worked a 9-5 job, and he had family. But that all chaneged when an unknown Super-Villain attacked the bus he was heading to work on with a nuclear blast. Somehow, Trent survived, and he was rushed to the Sentinels medical complex. It was then that his amazing powers began to manifest themslevs. But he was unhappy with his new powers and tried many times to take his own life, each time failing becuase of his powers, the very reason he was trying to take his life in the first place. Having nowhere else to go, Trent turned to the Sentinels, who accepted him with open arms, helping him to deal with his powers. Becuase of his origin as a Khazaian native, the Sentinels suggested he take the name "Captain Khazan" which he did, becoming a great hero for the people!

Elwin grew up a normal young girl in Khazan. So normal in fact, that the boredom of her life drove her to run away from home and seek adventure. She then became a hero, and competed in the FPL, where her repuation meant that got angry, you knew you had better run for the hills, becuase it's wouldn't belong before she screamed "FFIIIRREEEBALLLL!" and toasted anyone that was near by. Many things have happened to Elwin since she first joined the league. She married Ryoko and fathered two children with him, Rywin and El-Co, and was even known as Sailor Archer, until she passed that mantle on to another. Elwin  can always be counted on and her experience makes her a valauable ally for the Sentinels.

Joe BIGG GUNNS used to be known as "Well Above Average Joe w/ Lots ofReally Cool and Neat Powers". But due to a really messy and wholly unexpected accident involving a toaster, a tulip and a girl from Alpha Centuri named Sissiphissophloliss, Joe lost his super human abilities and powers. But he wouldn't let this minor set back stop him from battling crime (Fighting crime was in his blood y'know) So he went to Kill O Matic BIGG GUNNS(KOMBG), where he was given an exclusive contract that gave him use of ALL of their hi tech weaponry, but also prevents any other FPL Fighter from using their weaponry. So now, outfitted with THE most hi-tech weaponry available ANYWHERE, Joe BIGG GUNNS is once again willing, ready and able to fight the criminals of Khazan once again!
