Supercomrade vs Incinerator Zero (part1) By Sac Nathen DiCapelli was on monitor duty that morning for the Sentinels, sitting in the Sentinels large control room. Being a sunday morning, he was alone, everyone else either out training, patrolling or just off busy with their personal lives. He was all alone. Suddenly, alarms alla round him blared into life, causing him to start and knock over his umbrella, which had been resting nearby. Panic fileld him, as the memory of how he could summon aid to be dispatched fled him, while he knew he couldn't afford to leave the control room. Then, there was a large figure standing before him. 'Good morning Comrade DiCapelli! I heard the alarm here, and came to see why you ahd not activated the monitor' Nathan's eyes went wide. 'You heard, from you you live in Uptown?' 'No, not exactly. You see I...' Supercomrade blushed. 'To be honest, I was bored, and was rather hoping I would find something to do if I came here and...diavolo!' Supercomrade spun, and quickly stabbed a button. A image burst into life on a monitor in front of him and Nathan, of a work. 'Thank god! I'm the foreman here at the Mid City Nuclear powerplant! There's some kinda creature, tearing the place up! You gotta...no...no, ARGH!....' The screen suddenly went dead. Nathan, now deadly serious, started tapping buttons. 'Supercomrade, you better head out right away! I'll summon the others in the industrial sector to...' He was cut off. 'No. If the plant should go into meltdown, they would only be as doomed as I would myself. I will need aid, but not to fight.' Nathan nodded with understanding, and as Supercomrade flew from the room, he copuld hear the voice of Uberman answering Nathan. --- Carlos could feel the radiation, and was drawn toward it. The mutated Iguna hadn't realised that the radiation from the nuclear missles the US Goverment of it's reality had actually caused it's radiation to rise so high, that it was no longer in it's alternate United States of America...but was now in Khazan, Nexsus of realties. At first, it was slightly surprised that the starnge buzzing things had gone, but was also disapointed that the radiation had now become weak...weak, but still present. Slowly, it headed towards what it needed, still not knowing why. --- By the time carlos (Refered to in the on the spot news reports as "Incinerator Zero") reached the plant, it had already been under attack by the nuclear power plant security staff. But their weapons were so weak compared, that the creature didn't ven realise their presence, killing many as it slowly made it's way towards the plant. Just as the creature had reached the plant, secuity had managed to get organised, and helicopers dispersed from underground bunkers, as did thanks and other vehicles, paid for by Dollarcorp, the secret (To all save Marc Dollar himself) owner of this, and many other such power plants in the giant city that shared it's name with this plain of existance. Finally, the creature relised it had come under attack, and furious that thses small annoyance would dare try to deny it that which it craved, turned and began to destroy, as easily as a human would swat a fly. Even these high weapons were no match for "Incinerator Zero". Disaater in the industrial sector loomed. --- Supercomrade was shocked by the sheer extent of the devatsation when he arrived in the industrial sector, though it did make it very easy to track the creature. 'My god...' He said as he came upon the battle...if it could be called a battle. The creatiure reminded him of his earlier encounter with the alien creature called The Invader. Horiding thopse it's habit of tearing human bodies open was, it's wrath was nothing compared to that of the creature. Just before the hero was about to attack, he could see the arrival of Uberman, along with GrayMalkin, The Unknown Solider, Elwin D'larthi, Stella Aurorae and Dr Timothy. Staified that these powerful heroes would be able to evacuate everyone in the area should he failed to protect the plant, Supercomrade raced forward to intercept the creature. --- At Incinerator Zero was puzzeled. it could feel the radiation right in front of, but for some reason, didn't seem to be able to work out why it's huge pincer were unable to smash the barrier in its way. Anger began to build in the creature, the only response left, given the creature's limited intelligence. It opened it's huge mouth and screamed, flames suddnely spewing from around it's body. Supercomrade, meanwhile, was busy holding back the creature's claws, trying to figure out the best way to deal with the creature. He knew that he ahd to be careful, for opne mistake here copuld cause the nearby powerplant to melt down. Suddenly Incinerator Zero's flames bit into his skin, and even through the powerful protection of his force field, he could tell that the flames were extremely strong. Having no options left, he pushed the creature back, and then slammed into it, sending it flying. --- From the Fallen Tower the man known as Marc Dollar watched the battle between Supercomrade and Incinerator Zero with interest. One of his underlings approached. 'Sir, would you like me to dispatch the DollarCorp Special Ops forces to assist the Sentinel in protecting your powerplant?' Marc pulled the expensive Cuban cigar(Imported from a reality whose earth produced Cigars better than even those of our own), blew a stream of smoke from his mouth, and was about to answer yes, when a sudden stabbing pain entered his mind. Marc wanted to scream, it was so intense, but it was also a pain he knew. Knew...and feared. 'Qu..Quietus!? But...no, it can't be! The clone...the clone was defeated, and you should still be sealed away after your defeat at the hands of Seryaph Gibbons....' The richest man in all of the multiverse's only response was a dull, hollow laugh, one that contained no mirth. And then, the world came back into focus. 'Sir?' The underling asked, when marc had not responded for a few moment. Annoyed by being prompted, and at his experience in the void (however breif) Marc responded angrily. 'NO! GET OUT OF HERE!' the man bowed, and retreated quickly, knowing better than to further anger the head of DollarCorp. Sitting down, he breathed heavily, not wanting to believe that HE had really returned, even though, at the same time, he knew it to be true. --- Supercomrade lay on the ground, panting. The creature was actually alot more powerful than he expected, and already he could feel his own energy levels drained. 'Don't....know if I can defeat it...' He thought, ginergly getting to his feet. 'But...I have to keep going. A Sentinel...a hero, never gives up when lives are in danger...' Rising slowly back into the air, he raced again towards the creature...
